Adventure Sailing Ragamuffin

This is a 3-day / 2-night fully crewed live-aboard sailing tour of the Whitsunday Islands. Ragamuffin will provide an action packed sailing tour and guests are welcome to get involved with the sailing and help the crew pull the ropes and hoist the sails. This cruise is for guests who want a complete Whitsunday experience, with a smaller group of 13 guests, providing 2 or 3 snorkelling options on fringing island coral reefs, visits to stunning beaches and guided island walks to spectacular lookouts. You`ll anchor each night in a smooth water bay, so sleeping is comfy. All yachts have had extensive interior refits and today provide comfortable guest accommodation, including double or single bunks, a lounge/dining areas, and bathrooms with hot showers.

You will visit



Day 1

Meet at 8.40am at the marina, at 9.30am. Hoist the sails and head across the Whitsunday Passage to Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island. Snorkel the fringing coral reefs (and there`s a dive option available here). Sail on to Luncheon Bay for another snorkel in the afternoon then anchor for your overnight stop.
From 01Apr17:
(L,D) - Meet with our Crew at the Marina at 9am. Depart the marina at 9.30am and sail to first anchorage. By 11:30am, be in the water and enjoy your first snorkel on the Fringing Coral Reefs of the Whitsundays. After lunch set sail for a few hours, sailing around islands before arriving at Tongue Bay ready for Sunset drinks. After Dinner relax, enjoy a few drinks before settling down for the night.


Day 2

In the morning sail south to Tongue Bay for guided island walk, then head off to Whitehaven Beach. Explore the beach, sunbake, swim, or walk. Tonight`s overnight stop is in a secluded bay on Hook Island.
From 01Apr17:
(B,L,D) - After Breakfast, go to the island for a guided bush walk to the renowned Hill Inlet Lookout, a spectacular lookout over looking Whitehaven Beach. Then walk down the track and enter onto Whitehaven Beach for a few hours. Back on board enjoy lunch before setting sails for an afternoon sail along the western side of Hook Island to the northern end of the Whitsundays. Enjoy an hour on the beach, relax on board or go snorkelling. Overnight anchor in one of the many bays on Hook Island. Tonight’s sunset will be one to remember as the sunsets over the water. After Dinner relax, enjoy a few drinks before settling down for the night.


Day 3

After breakfast enjoy a bush walk, or another snorkelling opportunity then set sail to Langford Reef. After lunch set sail and return to Airlie Beach, arriving at around 4.15pm You`ve got a courtesy bus transfer back to town arriving at around 4.30pm.
From 01Apr17:
(B,L) - After Breakfast enjoy snorkelling and/or an optional Introductory or Certified Scuba Dive on the fringing coral reefs which extend right from the edge of the islands. These reefs are teeming with marine life and the experience is memorable for the snorkelling novice through to seasoned snorkellers. Set sail to Langford Reef for lunchtime anchorage, before hoisting the sails around 1:45pm and sailing past the islands and across the Whitsunday Passage back to Abel Point Marina at 4:30pm.

      - Open Plan Double is a Double Bed in a dormitory style cabin with other beds
