01

Day 1: Las Vegas - Zion National Park

Leaving the bright lights of Las Vegas behind, your next destination is Zion National Park. The highlight of any visit to Zion is the hike along the switch-back trails up to Angels Landing, for incredible views over the park and valley floor below. Take your packed lunch with you, so you can relax as you tuck in at the top, savouring the incredible views. Tonight, you’ll camp nearby to the Virgin River.

Meals Included: Lunch & dinner included

02

Day 2: Monument Valley

With a free morning to venture back into Zion, why not try a short walk to the Emerald Pools? Or, if you don't mind getting wet, try walking The Narrows, a slot canyon which offers a very different experience. Then it's back on the road again and off to one of North America's most iconic landscapes. Monument Valley has been used as the set for countless Western movies, including the recent remake of The Lone Ranger. Jump on your guided 4x4 tour for an overnight experience with the Navajo people, staying in a traditional mud-hut Hogan.

Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

03

Day 3: Grand Canyon National Park

Passing through the Painted Desert you'll make your way to the Cameron Trading Post sat on top of the Little Colorado River Gorge. Today will define the word 'epic' as you reach the mighty Grand Canyon National Park. Nothing you've ever seen before will prepare you for this spectacular sight! Today there’s time to explore the rim trails or walk down into the canyon along the Bright Angel Trail for a view that just 5% of visitors to the Grand Canyon ever have the chance to see. Please note: If you plan on enjoying a flight over the Grand Canyon we are at the mercy of when we can fly, so your flight may be this afternoon as opposed to tomorrow morning. This will unfortunately reduce the amount of time you spend walking the trails however, it does give you a very different and all-encompassing view of the canyon.

Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Optional Activities:

  • Helicopter flight US$254-$284
  • IMAX Theater US$15

04

Day 4: Grand Canyon National Park - Route 66 - Las Vegas

Catch a bird's eye view of the Grand Canyon on an optional scenic helicopter flight before making your way back to Las Vegas via the famous Route 66 and town of Seligman. Time to put those lucky numbers to the test, not to mention your energy levels in this 24/7 party town. A-list stars swarm here, although breaking the bank may be easier than blagging your way into their swanky celebrity hangouts. If you're staying on to explore Vegas, why not cruise the Strip in a super-stretch limousine or ease the pain in one of the famous all-you-can-eat buffets. Vegas isn't all about gambling and clubs, why not check out a show, take an evening flight down the Strip or get yourself hitched by Elvis Presley (don't worry it's not legally binding, unless you want it to be)? This trip normally concludes late in the afternoon of day 4. In order to make sure you catch your flight, we suggest you book an extra post tour hotel night in Las Vegas and enjoy your last night out on the town.

Meals Included: Breakfast & lunch included

Optional Activities:

  • Helicopter flight US$254-$284

Inclusions:
  • Services of a TrekAmerica tour leader and local guide in Monument Valley
  • Private transportation with free Wi-Fi
  • All accommodation, camping fees & equipment (except sleeping bag)

For me it was an amazing experience. It was my first trekamerica tour and i felt the whole time safe and well informed about the trip and the schedule. I´m a single traveller and I highly recommend this trip. I made friends all over the world, young and older generation. Also we had a really nice and comfortable tourbus. The equipement for camping was really good. Everyone had enough food. I also really enjoyed to be in a group and not alone. Also we had a strict schedule, but what we saw in 4 days is amazing! We had eniugh time to go on hikes and explore the area. Thanks from germany!

Incredible week on the west coast. This was my first trek with Trek America and only the second travelling solo so I was a little on edge, however Trek America organised everything down to a tee before departure. From the pre-/post trek hotels to all the optional activities, everything flowed so seamlessly thanks to the very capable, knowledge and sensitive dealings of our guide, Jenny and the office team. Regardless the questions or our quirky nature, she always had the answer, along with a witty fact. This tour is quite an insanely jam-filled trek with a huge amount crammed into such a short time. When you look back on it, it is truly mind-blowing just how much incredible experiences you have had. From the big sites of the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park to the culture and history of Monument Valley and the Navajo people, this trek has a little something for everyone. There is also the quaint and in some ways, a little creepy mini-towns you pass through along the way, including Page (AZ), Seligman (Route 66) and Kayenta (AZ), Mesquite (NV) and the awesome Cameron Navajo Trading Post. Due to working full-time this trek fitted perfectly into my tight schedule to experience the best of the national parks of the USA and be back in UK in the space of 10 days. Be prepared for 3-4 hours of driving each day and only getting 3-4 hours in each national park, but in the end, this is all you need on this taster-tour. The pre-/post-tour hotel - Alexis Park is okay. B

I went on the Las Vegas to Grand Canyon Mini (Camping) Trek in September of 2017. I can't say that I have any complaints about my experience with Trek America. The tour guide, Carl, was enthusiastic and made every moment of the trip fun. The highlights of the tour were sleeping under the stars in Monument Valley and drinking champagne and eating pizza while watching the sunset over the Grand Canyon. By the end of the tour I had made about 10 new amazing friends! Although you don't have much time in just these short four days you get to see A LOT. This is an experience worthwhile!
