Itinerary

01

Day 1: Arrive Sydney

Welcome to Sydney. After meeting up with your brand new travel family, we’ll be hitting the road, country bound, for a day trip to one of Australia's finest the majestic Blue Mountains (which aren’t actually blue, but are still damn beautiful). Out here in the great Aussie outdoors we’ll be learning the legend behind the famous Three Sisters rocks formation and exploring the Jamison Ridge area, basically living out all our rustic dreams. Back in Sydney later, we'll eat ourselves silly with a hands-on cook your own BBQ dinner, contemplating how it's possible to do so much in just one day. Waterfalls and mini-hikes by day, sunset drinks and a BBQ by night that's just how we roll on day-1 of Contiki.

02

Day 2: Sydney

Today we have one main mission – to explore the sun drenched, eternally cool city of Sydney. Your team will give you the down low on all of Sydney’s best bits as you take a tour of the highlights, including a ferry ride across the world famous harbour. Beach hangs in Manly & the chance to climb the Harbour Bridge are all in a days work.

03

Day 3: Sydney to Coffs Harbour via Port Macquarie

With Sydney satisfaction levels on high, today we start our Aussie road trip and hit the road, East Coast bound.
We'll break up our journey to Coffs Harbour with a lunch stop in Port Macquarie. This pretty seaside town sits at the end of the Hastings River and gives us a taste of life on the New South Wales mid coast.
Your surf bum dreams are all about to come true as we shack up for the night in our Coffs Harbour surf camp. Sitting right on the beach, a constant stream of swims and beach hangs are the norm, then come night fall it’s all about an open fire, great chats with new friends, and occasional star gazing. Perfection much?

04

Day 4: Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay

Byron may be calling, but this morning is all about living the Aussie dream as we finish off our Coffs stay with a professional surf lesson. Could this be the secret talent you never knew you had?
Dolphins and humpback whales sailing past the lighthouse of Australia's most easterly point. Organic cafes and bohemian bazaars. 30 kilometres of perfect sand. Oh yes - Byron Bay is every kind of beach paradise with a cherry on top, and our time here will be nothing short of magic.

05

Day 5: Byron Bay

We're up & on the road early to the iconic Byron Bay for a day full of cheeky tanning with a beer in hand, some serious surfing or just exploring this cute ocean town. Opt for kayaking if you're feeling extra adventurous today. When you're done wiggling your toes in the sand maybe it's time to sate your hunger at one of the delicious local cafes and restaurants. Venture through the streets and soak up the hippie vibes .

06

Day 6: Byron Bay to Surfers Paradise via Currumbin

Say goodbye to Byron Bay as we make our way towards the golden beaches and party capital of Queensland!
Our first QLD stop is the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, where all animal life goals can easily be achieved. Here’s your chance to cuddle a koala, feed a kangaroo & see a crocodile up close (but not too close, obvs). Best of all, it's a not-for-profit set up, so our visit supports the sanctuary’s animal hospital and gives back to Aussie's furry friends.
Settle into your resort accommodation a few minutes away from the Beach before getting ready to hit up one of the best clubs in Surfers Paradise with free night club entry!

07

Day 7: Surfers Paradise to Noosa

Ok we get it, the love the world has for the Gold Coast is totally justified. There’s option of skydiving over the golden beaches in the morning and then we’ll kick on and head up towards the Sunshine coast which never disappoints!
As we make our way into Noosa, soak in the abounding natural beauty of this picture perfect seaside town. Lunch is on us at Noosa Surf Club where we’ll get to soak up the view of the beach before heading to our exclusive Eco Camp special stay where we will be spending two nights getting back to nature. Get in those zzz's tonight as tomorrow promises to be a big one...

08

Day 8: Noosa and Fraser Island

Rise and shine beach babes! We're heading to a UNESCO World Heritage site and the world's largest sand island.

09

Day 9: Noosa to Farmstay

Speaking of legitimately Australian, it's time to wave goodbye to the pristine beaches of Noosa as we make our way to Langmorn Station, a working cattle station that dishes up true Aussie farm life. Tonight may just go down in the history books, with past passengers citing it the best night of their trip...
Honest Australian hospitality knows no bounds at our farmstay, and you’ll be blown away by farm owner Nan and the rest of the family as they welcome you into the fold, country style. Fill up on Nan’s famous home cooked damper cake, an outback speciality, then it’s on to the tractor to meet some of the farm’s larger residents. Tonight is all about partying outback style – tuck in to a huge dinner feast, try whip cracking, then grab the karaoke mic and bust out those dancefloor moves.

10

Day 10: Farmstay to the Whitsundays

Just one night on Langmorn will have you hooked on outback life and wishing you could stay forever. But with the Whitsundays on our horizons, things are only going to get even better from here.
Traversing up the Capricorn Coast, you’ll notice a change in the landscape as the vegetation takes a seriously tropical turn. On route we’ll pit stop at the beef farming capital of Rockhampton and pass through the sugar cane plantations of Mackay, before reaching base at Airlie Beach, gateway to the Whitsundays.

11

Day 11: The Whitsundays

Is there anywhere more beautiful in the world than the Whitsundays? Possibly not. With 74 perfect islands at your fingertips and an open sea calling your name, why not explore one of the worlds most sought after holiday destinations with an optional sailing excursion? If your legs are made for land, spend the day exploring the backpackers hub of Airlie. Endless cafes, bars and ocean vistas are there for the taking, so the choices are endless, just like the sunshine.

12

Day 12: The Whitsundays

You could stay in bed contemplating these last 12 incredible days, but better yet why not catch that last Aussie sunrise? After a final breakfast today the trip ends (sob), so it’s time for final hugs, last minute social deets swapping, and probably a tear or two. But hey, there’s always another trip in another destination!
