Day 1: Bangkok

A city of hedonistic temptations and transport-driven infuriation.  Meet your Tour Leader at 6pm for a welcome meeting.  After getting to know your fellow travel buddies, your Tour Leader will take you out to a great local restaurant where you can try some of the best Thai food in town, followed by some drinks at some local bars and even one of our favourite bars with a great view of the city.


Day 2: Bangkok to Pai (Overnight Train)

Today you get to venture out and explore Thailand's capital city. Join in our optional day trip to see some of town's must see sights. Cruise up the river, check out some of the great Wats, visit China Town and head to the Grand Palace. After a day of exploring you'll definitley want to come back! Meet your guide at the hotel reception this afternoon for a transfer to the train station to catch our super comfy overnight train. (B)


Day 3: Pai

Chilled vibes. That's what Pai's all about. The town has an incredibly lively market and loads oif hip bars and cafes. It's surrounded by lush jungle, waterfalls and hotsprings as well as hill trobe villages to boot.  Tonight your Guide will take you to the night markets, a great restaurant and a bar for some great live music. 


Day 4: Pai

Today is your day to explore Pai and its lush surroundings.  Choose from treks into the hill tribes or rafting day trips (season depending).  After a fun packed adventurous day, head to the hot springs to relax before meeting your Guide for dinner. (B)


Day 5: Pai to Chiang Mai

Arrive in Chiang Mai.  There's hundreds of temples, thriving universities, great nightclubs and everything else in between.  It's one of those amazing towns that feels both lived in and ancient. You arrive in time for lunch so take your time and choose from a bunch of cultural activities.  If you've always wanted to learn how to cook some of those great Thai dishes you've been eating, join our optional cooking class this afternoon.  If you want to learn more about local sport Muay Thai, join us this evening at the Muay Thai stadium before we head out and experience the great nightlife on offer.  (B)


Day 6: Chiang Mai

Get up early! There's so much to see and do in and around this great city! Head out of town and join in one of our optional excursions, or spend the day in the city checking out the temples, markets and taking in the city vibe. After a fun-packed day join your Tour Leader for dinner and an optional Cabaret show.  If you want to party on, this is the city to do it in! (B)


Day 7: Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai

We leave this morning to check out Chiang Rai.  It's a small city with a very relaxing vibe and a beautiful surrounding area.  Before arriving at our hotel we will stop at Wat Rong Kung, otherwise known as the White Temple.  Now, this isn't your run of the mill golden temple, however it's definitely quirky, so make sure your cameras are charged and ready to go.  After our temple visit we'll grab some lunch then head to our hotel to check in. Tonight we head to the night markets for some great shopping, food and entertainment. (B)


Day 8: Chiang Rai to Pakbeng (Laos)

It's an early morning start to make the most out of the day ahead. We cross the border to Laos, and once our visas are stamped we begin our leisurely trip along the Mekong on our own private long boat. Read a book, take photos, or chill out and chat to your travel mates. On route we'll stop at a local village to get a true idea of how the locals live.  We arrive in Pakbeng for our overnight stay.  Meet your local guide for a stroll around this small village and a visit to the very local markets, before meeting your Tour Leader for dinner and a few drinks. It's probably time to try the local tipple - Lao Lao (rice whisky).


Day 9: Pakbeng to Luang Prabang

Back on the boat this morning! Today we're off to the UNESCO world heritage site of Luang Prabang.  We stop by Pak Ou caves to stretch the legs and capture a bit of the spectacular countryside. This evening after arrival we'll head up Phousi Hill for a spectacular sunset befroe dinner by the riverside. (B) (L)


Day 10: Luang Prabang

No boat today, but plenty of amazing things to do.  In the morning you can catch the Buddhist monks peacefully strolling around collecting alms.  You can head to the beautiful Kwang Si waterfalls for a refreshing swim, or check out the Living Land Rice Farm to see how the locals live and cultivate their land.  Tonight after dinner we'll take you to some great rustic bars to chill out along the riverbank. (B)


Day 11: Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng

Did someonoe say 'party town'? Yes they did, but they shoul dhave also said 'incredibly-beautiful-adventure town'. Vang Vieng is our destination and we arrive here in time for you to gra b a bike or transfer to the Blue Lagoon for a refreshing swim. This evening we'll check out the town, take some lovely sunset photos, before meeting up for dinner, and most definitely a bar crawl in the evening. (B)


Day 13: Vang Vieng to Vientiane

On the way to the capital, we'll stop at the COPE centre and learn about the secret war. We'll then head into the city centre for an orientation of the town with our local guide.  Tonight watch (or join in with) the locals doing their riverside aerobics, check out the night markets, meet up for our final dinner and celebrate a great trip over a couple Beer Laos. (B)


Day 14: Vientiane

Our trip ends after breakfast. Why not head to Hanoi to join our Vietnam trip and continue the adventure! (B)


Day 14: Vang Vieng

A free day for some great adventures.  There are so many outdoor activities in and around Vang Vieng you'll be spoilt for choice! Our optional day trip today is a must do! Get out on the water, clear the head of some cobwebs and kayak along the river for the day. With some great stop offs along the way, a bbq lunch by the riverside, this is the best way to spend your day in Vang Vieng!! This evening we'll head down to one of the river bars to watch the sun set over the spectacular karsts. (B)
