Arrive in Winnipeg and check-in to the conveniently located hotel at your leisure. Please note you will not meet your tour guide until the afternoon of day two, following your flight from Winnipeg to Churchill. You will be provided with flight details and clear instructions closer to the time once flight details are available.

The morning is free to explore the city of Winnipeg, and Lazy Bear staff will meet you in the afternoon to transfer you to the airport. Generally, it's an afternoon flight to your lodge in Churchill. Earlier flights may be available upon request, but typically lodge rooms will not be available for check-in until the late afternoon. Upon arrival to the airport in Churchill, please keep an eye out for shuttle staff. Generally, staff will wear Lazy Bear Lodge clothing when picking up clients at the airport in Churchill. They will also raise their voice, mentioning that they are with Lazy Bear Lodge and drive a vehicle that has the Lazy Bear Lodge logo on it. This renowned family owned lodge has been handcrafted from local materials, with charming log buildings and decor to match the personal friendly service. Please note: You will transfer to the airport this afternoon for the flight from Winnipeg to Churchill a Lazy Bear Staff will greet you at your hotel. The transfer will be arranged so you will arrive at the airport approximately one hour before your flight. Your flight will be included in your travel documents. You will be met by your tour guide upon arrival to Churchill airport.

Spend two full days exploring the tundra and boreal forest of the Hudson Bay coastline in search of the majestic Polar Bear. Your driver/guide will lead expeditions to designated wildlife viewing areas where it is not uncommon to see Arctic Foxes, and Arctic Hares, camouflaged ptarmigan and, if you're lucky, the elusive Snowy Owl. You'll travel on a custom built, spacious and comfortable tundra vehicle, equipped with a propane furnace, toilet facilities and a rear viewing deck for safe photography outside the vehicle. Although the vehicle can accommodate up to 40 passengers, group sizes are limited to a maximum of 28 for comfort and convenience. You will depart the lodge early morning at 08:00 hrs after a hearty breakfast. On the evening of day four, you'll enjoy a dog mushing tour, where you’ll have the chance to view the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, overhead.

After wolfing down a hearty breakfast, you'll enjoy a cultural and heritage tour, visit historic Cape Merry where the Churchill River spills into the bay with short hikes along the coastline with your group. It is not encouraged to head off walking alone due to bear danger. Then it's on to the 'Polar Bear Jail'. One way the citizens of Churchill care for their polar bear friends is to put them in `jail'. When someone spots a Polar Bear too close to town, they call a special phone number, and the bear is humanely trapped and placed in the `Polar Bear Jail' until it can be safely transported back to the wild. This is your last chance to spot these magnificent creatures up close and personal, but also to enjoy the Arctic wilderness area of Churchill.In the afternoon, you'll transfer to the airport for your included flight back to Winnipeg. Upon arrival, the rest of your day is at leisure.
